Kentuckyconnection can strike off career low mark at Newcastle

Newmarket: David Milnes

Encore D'Or (5.45 Newcastle, nap)
Enjoyed a fruitful spell on the all-weather last winter and is raring to go after a short break. Robert Cowell's speedster has a touch of class and can return with a win.
Others to follow
Newcastle: 4.10 Cosmelli, 4.45 Blame Culture, 5.15 Pinnata, 6.15 Foxy Forever, 6.45 Solar Park.

North: Richard Young

Mighty Thunder (1.25 Kelso, nap)
Fortunate winner of maiden hurdle at this course last time but that form has been franked and interesting in first-time cheekpieces back in handicap over a trip that looks sure to suit.
Others to follow
Kelso: 12.55 Midnight Walk, 1.55 Alizee De Janeiro, 2.25 Western Rules, 2.55 Erik The Red, 3.25 Aristo Du Plessis, 3.55 Glenduff.
Leicester: 2.40 Another Day Done, 3.10 Bit Of A Quirke, 4.15 Shine Baby Shine.
Newcastle: 4.10 Stargazer, 4.45 Trevithick, 5.15 Gallipoli, 5.45 Ornate, 6.15 Primo's Comet, 6.45 Mustadun, 7.15 The British Lion, 7.45 Epeius.

Lambourn: James Burn

Outrage (5.45 Newcastle, nap)
Seven-year-old has something to find on the figures, but seems better than ever and has been beaten only once in five outings over this course and distance.

Others to follow
Kelso: 3.25 Mahlervous.
Leicester: 1.10 Jen's Boy, 1.40 Burbank, 3.10 Working Class.
Newcastle: 5.15 Straight Right, 7.15 Briyouni.

West Country: Tim Mitchell

Chef D'Equipe (1.10 Leicester, nap)
Useful chaser who made the most of an easy opportunity back over hurdles at Taunton earlier this month. Bit more on his plate here but fancied to give another good account.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Loud And Clear (4.10 Newcastle)
Scored smoothly over course and distance a fortnight ago and although 2lb wrong at the weights can follow up.

Racing Post Ratings: Steve Mason

Chef D'Equipe (1.10 Leicester, nap)
Has more on his plate than when successfully reverting to hurdles at Taunton, but showed enough to suggest he could be capable of replicating his mid-130s chase figure.

Longshot: Ben Harris

Kentuckyconnection (7.45 Newcastle)
Should strip fitter for his reappearance and now pitched into Class 6 company for the first time. He races off a career low mark and a likely strong gallop should suit.

Brian Hughes is 5-12 (42 per cent strike-rate, +£3.48) when riding a hurdler for Kevin Ryan since 2017. They team up with Erik The Red in the 2.55 at Kelso.
