Evening Angles: three to follow tonight based on Racing Post stats

Windsor: where prize-money levels on money caused plenty of consternation
Windsor: racing this eveningCredit: Edward Whitaker

Using the Racing Post's unrivalled bank of stats, we pick out three horses to back tonight based on trainer form, RPRs and, tonight's wild card, a handicap debutant.

Trainer form

Theory Of Time
6.00 Windsor
Angle: Trainer Charlie Appleby has a 31 per cent strike-rate (5-16) over the last two weeks

Charlie Appleby has saddled a number of two-year-olds to win on debut this term, including Queen Mary favourite Chasing Dreams, and the Newmarket trainer is represented by this daughter of Dubawi in this 6f novice contest.

Five of his 16 runners in the last two weeks have won and Theory Of Time, whose dam was Listed-placed as a three-year-old, may well prove equal to improving that record.

Notable newcomer

Rewrite The Stars
8.00 Windsor
Angle: In-form yard plus from an interesting family

This daughter of Sea The Stars makes a belated debut for the in-form James Tate, who is operating at a strike-rate of 27 per cent, and could be one to note going forward.

While her pedigree suggests she will be suited by further in due course, her dam is a half-sister to Listed winner Nashmiah, who won over seven furlongs.

Wild card

Babbo's Boy
8.45 Leicester
Angle: the colt is making his handicap debut

While the son of Mastercraftsman is likely to go off at a short price, he catches the eye based on how lightly raced he is.

Trained by Michael Bell, he improved on his first two starts when finishing second at Ripon followed by a first success at Yarmouth in April. Partnered by Ryan Moore that day, he produced a career-best RPR of 84 and now makes his handicap debut.

Being the least exposed runner in the field, he can add a second career success to his name under Jason Watson.
