Racing Post Ratings: Sam Walker

Jam Session (5.15 Haydock)

Got up late to win at Newmarket last time, posting an RPR of 81, and has previous form to suggest he could build on that.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Burn Some Dust(5.15 Haydock)

Has made giant strides since being stepped up in trip and this improving dual scorer may still be ahead of his mark.

Longshot: Samuel King

Blazed (4.55 Ascot)

Has shown plenty of good turf form without getting his head in front and never got a run last time out. That was his first start since undergoing a wind operation, which makes him interesting in a competitive sprint.

Ireland: Tony O'Hehir

Ajmera (4.50 Down Royal)

Placed on three of her five previous starts, most recently when beaten a head over six furlongs at the Curragh last month. The daughter of Canford Cliffs reverts to the minimum trip and gets the vote to score for Johnny Murtagh and Shane B Kelly.

The Raceform Interactive nugget

If you discount when he made his seasonal return in the Group 1 Lockinge Stakes, Yuften (4.20) has form figures of 2123 when fresh if including his debut. He is therefore of each-way interest at Ascot after 365 days off.
