Sweetspots: Crusader returns to Bath to complete quick double
Peppay Le Pugh (Southwell 6.45) has been running well without winning this year but receives the assistance of Adrian Heskin for the first time. The jockey is 5-11 at Southwell this season.
Goodwood Crusader ran away with a maiden at Bath last week and returns to the course for a handicap (8.00). He’s due to go up 12lb for that success, so is 6lb well-in today, and trainer Richard Hughes is 5-17 with winners returning within seven days.
Iseemist was second in the Bath Listed contest (6.00) last year and comes here in good form having finished a close third to Kimberella over five furlongs.
Tom Dascombe is 2-4 with first-time-out two-year-olds at Bath and runs Big Time Maybe, half-brother to useful two-year-old and debutant winner Angelic Lord, in the 4.55.
