David Baxter with his best two-year-old bet at Kempton on Monday
1pt winOnly four line up for this novice, and the early SP forecast has Zaisan as the outsider, which does not make much sense to me.
Favourite Running Back did bump into Coventry runner-up Qaader on debut at Newbury, so his claims of going one better are obvious, but he is closely matched on RPRs with Zaisan.
Zaisan finished third on debut at Windsor, but looked green in the closing stages, and should be capable of better. Trainer Archie Watson has turned to David Egan, and the jockey has a fine record for the yard.
For the last five seasons he has a 57 per cent strike-rate (four from seven) on Watson-trained juveniles, and rode a juvenile double for boss Roger Varian at Redcar on Sunday.
It is a trappy contest, but I think Zaisan may be overlooked.
