There's no Michael van Gerwen for the Netherlands in this year's World Cup of Darts, but there is what looks likely to be a very comfortable first-round tie for his countrymen.
Danny Noppert and Dirk van Duijvenbode get the nod for the Dutch and they are both excellent performers. They certainly look strong when you consider that they will be up against the little-known Brazilian duo of Diogo Portela and Artur Valle.
The Samba Boys are a limited outfit, who have only ever won two matches at the World Cup and this pair have lost in the opening round in both of their two previous appearances in this event.
Brazil averaged just 73.34 when losing 5-2 to England in the first-round last year and their previous two efforts ended in 5-1 defeats to the Netherlands and Sweden. The Dutch are likely to win this without dropping more than one leg.
At 2-1 Spain look overpriced to upset Germany. Gabriel Clemens and Martin Schindler are the fancied runners, but the German Giant has been way off his best of late and the Wall is a pretty inconsistent performer.
Jose Justicia showed what he can do when hitting a nine-dart finish at the UK Open earlier this year, while Tour Card holder Tony Martinez can keep Spain in the game.
