Argentina need help to keep their World Cup dream alive following a crushing 3-0 defeat to Croatia left them on one point from two matches in Group D.

Jorge Sampaoli's shambolic side are 11-8 with bet365 and Betway to qualify with Iceland at evens, while Nigeria are 5-1 to finish in the top two but Croatia have already booked their spot in the knockout phase thanks to second-half goals from Ante Rebic, Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic.

Argentina, who are 8-15 with bet365 for a group-stage exit, have drifted to 35-1 to win the World Cup with Croatia slashed to 16-1.

France are 7-1 to win the World Cup after qualifying for the knockout stages following a 1-0 win over Peru.

Kylian Mbappe scored the only goal as Les Bleus laboured to their second success of the competition.

The other Group C clash finished level as Australia came from behind to draw 1-1 with Denmark.

Christian Eriksen's sweet strike put the Danes in front only for Mile Jedinak to equalise from the penalty spot after a controversial handball decision awarded after VAR.

Denmark are 1-8 to qualify alongside France, while Australia, who meet eliminated Peru in their final fixture, are 5-1.

Dele Alli is doubtful for England's match against Panama on Sunday after he missed training on Thursday with a thigh injury, enhancing the prospect of Ruben Loftus-Cheek starting in Novgorod.

Betway have opened a market on Loftus-Cheek's club come the end of the summer transfer window and he is 8-11 to remain at Chelsea with Everton at 3-1. A move to Crystal Palace, where he spent the season on loan, is at 7-1.

Reports have also suggested Marcus Rashford could replace Raheem Sterling and partner Harry Kane, who is 7-1 to win the World Cup Golden Boot after his brace in the 2-1 win over Tunisia on Monday.

Diego Costa took his tally to three with the only goal in Spain's 1-0 victory against Iran on Wednesday and the Atletico Madrid hitman can be backed at 11-2 to finish as the top tournament goalscorer.
