Women's Super League predictions

Manchester United could not stop Chelsea from claiming the Women's Super League title on Wednesday, but just a point in Sunday's Manchester derby will be enough for them to secure European football for next season.

With just two games left to play in the WSL this season, Marc Skinner's United are third with 43 points, four more than rivals Manchester City just below them.

And before an eye-catching final-day clash with Arsenal, they are worth backing to beat their city rivals in their final home contest of the season at Old Trafford.

Before their 1-0 loss to Chelsea on Wednesday, United were on a four-game unbeaten run and they defeated City 2-0 in the Women's FA Cup semi-finals as part of that run.

That result summed up what has been a testing season for City, who will once again be missing key personnel for Sunday's contest with Vivianne Miedema, Mary Fowler and Khadija Shaw still absent for the visitors.

They have won just two of their last six games and are worth opposing against a United side who should be at full strength.

Later on Sunday, WSL champions Chelsea take on Tottenham in their penultimate league game of the season and the Blues are 1-5 to record maximum points.
