Match preview

While the festive period can be a struggle for most clubs, Paris Saint-Germain barely left first gear throughout December, winning all six of their matches by an aggregate scoreline of 20-3.

They followed that with a 6-0 thrashing of Linas-Montlhery in the Coupe de France and although St-Etienne should provide more resistance in their Coupe de la Ligue quarter-final meeting, it should still be a routine success.

St-Etienne's chances against PSG in the league last month were dashed by a 25th-minute red card but they still managed 11 shots in the game and, having scored in four of their last five league games, they could nick a consolation goal.

Key stat

Both teams have scored in six of St-Etienne's ten away league matches this season.

Lyon v Brest

Match preview

The naivety of Lyon's youthful side has hindered their progress in a frustrating Ligue 1 season but one of their young forwards can rise to the occasion in their Coupe de la Ligue quarter-final tie with Brest.

Only PSG (43) and Monaco (31) have scored more league goals than Les Gones' 29 and they have been reliant on Moussa Dembele, but 22-year-old Martin Terrier has got on the scoresheet in both domestic cup competitions recently.

Able to play on the flank or through the middle, forward Terrier looks a decent bet to score again.

Key stat

Lyon have scored 12 goals in their last three matches.
