Wednesday football tips: Manchester City and Tottenham in Premier League action

It's a busy night on Wednesday as Tottenham begin life after Jose Mourinho with a home game against Southampton while Manchester City hope to take a step closer to the Premier League title with three more points at Aston Villa.

There is also plenty of action in the Championship affecting both ends of the table.

Tottenham v Southampton

Sky Sports Main Event & Premier League, 6pm

Tottenham are under the temporary management of Ryan Mason and he needs to sort out a defence who have conceded at least twice in five of their last six games. However, they should have too much for Southampton, who are poor travellers and have to recover from their Fa Cup semi-final loss to Leicester.
