Wasps can celebrate anniversary with cosy win over Bath

Absences are undermining efforts of Ricoh Arena visitors

Back-rower Thomas Young makes a break for Wasps last season

BT Sport 1, 3pm Sunday

Grand Final runners-up Wasps have lost back-to-back games but they can defy a drab weather forecast to give up five points to Bath in the televised Premiership clash at the Ricoh Arena.

Bath have also lost two games in a row after an excellent start to the campaign with wins at Leicester and at home to Saracens.

While they welcome back British & Irish Lions Taulupe Faletau and Anthony Watson and England flanker Sam Underhill after bangs, they are still struggling with a long injury list and sublime back-rower Francois Louw has returned to the South Africa fold.

Wasps have some sidelined stars too but ace game-controller Jimmy Gopperth is back at fly-half and the bustling Thomas Young returns in their back row. Young claimed a try in a 40-26 win over Bath at the Ricoh last December when Christian Wade grabbed a hat-trick. Wade was also among the tryscorers when Wasps won 24-3 at the Rec in March.

Before defeats to champions Exeter and Harlequins, Wasps thumped Sale 50-35 at the Ricoh Arena and sauntered to a 24-10 win at Worcester.

Bristol are asked to give up seven points to visitors Ealing Trailfinders in the televised RFU Championship clash (Sky Sports Action, 3pm Sunday).

Recommendation
Wasps -5
2pts 10-11 bet365
