Love Island daily: show fallout, market moves and betting odds

All the latest news from the villa

What's happening?

It was sealed with a kiss. Michael Griffiths and Amber Gill have thrown their names back into contention to win Love Island 2019 after the firefighter locked lips with the Geordie nail technician during a challenge on Thursday night's episode.

The pair have been the on-off couple of this year's series and Michael finally came clean that he still has feelings for Amber after his partner Joanna Chimonides was dumped from the Island earlier in the week.

As one romance rekindles, another is just beginning after fan-favourite Ovie Soko and new girl India Reynolds shared their first kiss under the Majorcan full moon.

Elsewhere, Anton Danyluk returned to the screen from illness and was reunited with his beloved Belle Hassan before the show's producers threw a spanner in the works by summoning the Islanders to the fire pit for the latest recoupling.

Betting moves

Amber has arguably the biggest decision to make in the recoupling - will she opt for old flame Michael or recent arrival Greg O'Shea, who took her on a date to the Hideaway terrace?

Bookmakers believe she has a greater chance of scooping the £50,000 prize by coupling up with Michael, with the duo as short as 5-1 with Sky Bet.

They are a best-priced 9-4 in the without Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague market with Betfair and Paddy Power, while she and Greg are 18-1 overall.

And what about the show's frontrunners? Tommy and Molly-Mae have been on the drift all week but are still 4-7 to win the series.

What might happen next?

The growth in price for the market leaders suggests there's the opportunity for another couple to usurp them.

As bookmakers anticipate, Amber will likely opt for Michael over Greg and the ongoing drama between the two makes them more favourable to back than Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins who have slipped into the background in recent episodes.

India, meanwhile, looks set to choose Ovie over Chris Taylor, who will almost certainly form a friendship coupling with Francesca Allen.
