Tories 2-7 for majority after poll puts them just one point ahead

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn
1 of 1

The Conservatives are 2-7 with Hills to form a majority government after the general election after a poll for ITV’s Good Morning Britain had them just one percentage point ahead of Labour.

A total of 326 seats are required for any party to win a majority, but other polls had the Tories ahead by an 11-point margin which would see Theresa May eclipse such a mark quite comfortably.

A hung parliament, where no party would have overall control is as short as 3-1, but Betfred and Ladbrokes are holding firm at 9-2.

The Conservatives, who had a majority of 16 when May called an election in April, are 1-10 to win the greatest number of seats.

She is 2-9 to still be prime minister after the election while Betfair are a standout 9-2 that the job will go to Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

The Liberal Democrats, who had just nine MPs before the dissolution, are not expected to make great strides and are evens with bet365, BoyleSports and Sky Bet to claim more than 11.
