Preview
Fnatic v G2 Esports
Counter Strike: Global Offensive, IEM Katowice 2022
Poland's IEM Katowice - one of the biggest tournaments in the CS:GO calendar - started on Thursday afternoon and G2 Esports are among the sides fancied to make a winning start.
They are 1-4 to prevail in their opener with Fnatic and that looks about right but a better way to back them is at -1 map on the handicap.
The matches are a best-of-three format to begin with, meaning G2 need to win 2-0 for the bet to cop and the disparity between these sides suggests that is a real possiblity.
G2 prepared for this tournament with a decent showing at the BLAST Premier Spring Groups, advancing after winning four of their five matches.
Fnatic, by contrast, had to battle through the play-in stage to get here and had a 0-5 record in the group stage of the IEM Season 15 Fall Europe in September last year.
Immortals v Team SoloMid
League of Legends, LCS Spring Split
The fact Team SoloMid are demoting their support player Wei "Shenyi" Zi-Jie to the Academy side this week shows how out-of-sorts they are right now and Immortals can take advantage in the LCS Spring Split.
TSM are rock bottom of the standings with a 0-4 record - their worst start to the LCS Spring Split - whereas Immortals at least have a win under their belt, having beaten 100 Thieves in week two.
They look a little more settled than their opponents and are worth chancing to take the spoils in this one.
Boston Breach v OpTic Texas
Call of Duty League Major one qualifiers
Newly formed Boston Breach failed to make an immediate impression at the start of the year, losing their first ever match in the Call of Duty League Kickoff Classic but they have responded by playing on the front foot in the major one qualifiers.
Breach have won two of their three matches in qualifying so far and have a great chance of recording another victory in their first match of the weekend against struggling New York Subliners on Saturday.
That should give them the perfect springboard to then cause problems for OpTic Texas, who are themselves adjusting to life under a new banner and have a 1-2 record, on Sunday night.
