Bookmakers have responded to the news that Steve Smith will miss the third Ashes Test, which starts on Thursday, with concussion by cutting England to 4-6 for victory at Headingley.

Smith has been the key protagonist with the bat for the Aussies in both matches of the series, posting totals of 144 and 142 at Edgbaston before scoring 92 in his only innings at Lord's.

The batsman was hit in the neck by a Jofra Archer delivery on day four of the second Test and, despite returning to the crease after initially retiring hurt, he has been ruled out of the match in Leeds.

It is yet to be confirmed who will replace Smith for Australia, who are out to 11-5 to win the third Test and 13-10 to win the series. England are 1-0 down with three matches left but are available at 9-4 to regain the Ashes.
