Dayana Yastremska has been well backed to upset Shuai Zhang in their Hong Kong Open semi-final early on Saturday morning but punters should know the Chinese is probably playing the best tennis of her career.

In Beijing last week Zhang upended Wimbledon champion Angelique Kerber before being reeled in by US Open heroine Naomi Osaka, and in her Hong Kong quarter-final she mauled Daria Gavrilova 6-1 6-3.

That has not stopped punters going for Yastremska, an 18-year-old Ukrainian who comfortably saw off Zhang's compatriot Saisai Zheng 6-3 6-3 earlier this week.

However, Zhang is performing a lot better than Zheng and it could pay to back the favourite to successfully concede a handicap start of 2.5 games.

Novak Djokovic meets Alexander Zverev in a Shanghai Masters semi-final at 9.30am. The Wimbledon and US Open champion is back to somewhere near his brilliant best, but the penny may be dropping for the German on hard courts and Zverev may not succumb easily.

Recommendation
Shuai Zhang -2.5 games
1pt 4-6 Betway
