Preview

Women's title favourite Simona Halep opens her title tilt against Sara Sorribes Tormo, but the most mouthwathering clash of the opening day is 2015 champion Stan Wawrinka, seeded 16th this year, against wild-card Andy Murray in match number four on Court Philippe Chatrier.

Wawrinka fully deserved his four-set final triumph over Novak Djokovic in Paris five years ago. But Murray, who is back loving his tennis again after a career-threatening hip operation, goes into this match under the radar and he could be value to at least keep things close.

The Briton is 5-2 for an upset, which can be considered, but the best way of punting could be to back the outsider with a handicap start of 1.5 sets at 6-5.
