Angelique Kerber could open her WTA Finals account in style against Kiki Bertens.

Cincinnati champion Bertens has worked wonders to get into the top ten in the rankings, but it could be tough going for the Singapore debutant against the Wimbledon champion and former world number one.

Kerber is 8-11 to successfully concede a handicap start of 2.5 games and that can be taken.

Tournament favourite Naomi Osaka opens her title tilt with a clash against Sloane Stephens, but while the reigning US Open champion has already been advised as value to go all the way in Singapore, there is no great desire to back her against last year's Flushing Meadows heroine.

Stephens could prove to be Osaka's chief tournament rival, so should the selection start slowly she could still be punted at bigger prices to go all the way in the year-ending bash.

Karolina Pliskova is 5-1 from 9-1 after defeating defending champion Caroline Wozniacki 6-2 6-4 in the white group, while Elina Svitolina is 7-1 from 12-1 after hammering Petra Kvitova 6-3 6-3.

Recommendation
A Kerber -2.5 games
