Novak Djokovic has moved to just one title behind Rafael Nadal in the race to win the most men's Grand Slam singles crowns by claiming his 21st major trophy at Wimbledon on Sunday.

Djokovic, who was 5-6 ante-post favourite for the grass-court Grand Slam, recovered from a set down to beat Nick Kyrgios 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-6 in the final at Wimbledon to make it four successive titles at the All England Club.

It is also a seventh Wimbledon title for Djokovic, who leapfrogs the legendary Roger Federer (20) in the list of Grand Slam titles won, and the 35-year-old is 5-4 to follow up with the US Open title later this year.

Fiery Australian Kyrgios, who had several altercations with his support team throughout the match, fell short against Djokovic but reached his first ever Grand Slam final at Wimbledon, having been as big as 33-1 in the betting before the tournament began.

The Wimbledon runner-up is 50-1 to go one better at Flushing Meadows.
