Eugenie Bouchard was once thought to be the future of the WTA Tour before a combination of injuries and a lack of focus saw the Canadian plummet down the world rankings.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed an encouraging start to the season with wins over Kirsten Flipkens and Caroline Garcia but she faces a tougher test in rising star Amanda Anisimova.

American teenager Anisimova enjoyed her first full year on tour in 2019, winning a maiden title in Bogota and reaching the semi-finals of the French Open.

The 18-year-old hammered Daria Kasatkina in straight sets on Wednesday and could again work her magic against Bouchard.
