Casper Ruud has sealed his place in the semi-final of the ATP Tour Finals for the second year in succession and the Norwegian will be hoping to advance from the Green Group with a perfect record.

Ruud has swatted aside any form concerns by beating Felix Auger-Aliassime and Taylor Fritz in Turin and is bidding to make it three wins from three against an out-of-sorts Rafael Nadal.

The 23-year-old from Oslo is 1-2 to see off Nadal, who has lost his two games to FAA and Fritz in straight-sets, supporting pre-tournament fears that the Spaniard was lacking match sharpness.

Ruud should prevail and is worth doubling up with Auger-Aliassime, who can follow the Norwegian into the last four by prevailing in his winner-takes-all clash with Fritz.

The Canadian was one of the form players coming into this event, having won three straight titles in Florence, Antwerp and Basel from mid-October onwards, and responded well to his setback against Ruud by beating Nadal 6-3 6-4.

Fritz also lost to Ruud and got the better of Nadal, but the American needed a first-set tiebreak before stamping his class against the Spanish veteran and wouldn't be as naturally gifted as the Montreal man, who has lost only two of his last 19 matches.
