Rafael Nadal is 13-2 for Wimbledon after winning his 12th French Open singles when defeating Dominic Thiem 6-3 5-7 6-1 6-1 in the Roland Garros final.
Nadal, who was nailing an 18th major title (Roger Federer has 20 and Novak Djokovic has 15), is now the most successful singles player at a single grand slam tournament having moved clear of the 11 titles won by Margaret Court at the Australian Open.
