Jakupovic has big opportunity to secure final berth

Dalila Jakupovic can be backed to reach the final of the Mumbai Open with a victory over Sabina Sharipova.

Both women were priced at around the 50-1 to 66-1 outright mark before the Indian event started and that means that punters get the chance to back Jakupovic at a decent price to beat one of the sport's journeywomen.

Sharipova did well to deny Yanina Wickmayer 3-6 6-4 6-2 on Friday to progress to the semi-finals, but the form of Jakupovic's 6-3 6-1 dismissal of Alize Lim reads better.

There is still time for Sharipova, 23, to step up in grade and become a regular main-tour competitor, but that's not certain to happen and for now Jakupovic appears to hold the aces.

Top seed Aryna Sabalenka stormed into the last four with a 6-4 6-2 rout of Britain's Naomi Broady.
