Bookmakers are finding it difficult to split Marius Copil and Jan-Lennard Struff in their ATP Stockholm Open first-round clash, but if any player deserves to win the clash it's the German.

Struff has played consistently well and enjoyed a positive campaign, so much so that he actually deserves to have won a main-tour title.

With time running out this season that probably won't happen, but Struff has shown that he thoroughly merits a place in the top 50 and with greater experience he could climb a fair bit higher.

Copil is a bit of a streak player and that makes the Romanian dangerous to oppose, but even though Struff's strengths may not be best suited to indoor tennis he could still find a way to win.

In Moscow, Aliaksandra Sasnovich is favourite to upend top seed Kristina Mladenovic, who is without a match win since early August. The Belarusian has been well backed to progress, too, and the market may be proved correct.

J-L Struff
