Tournament previews

One day after the WTA Tour got its season going in Abu Dhabi, it's the turn of the ATP Tour to kickstart its novel calendar with tournaments in Turkey and the USA.

Matteo Berrettini, David Goffin, Fabio Fognini and Alex de Minaur are the top seeds in the Antalya Open, while in Florida Cristian Garin, John Isner, Adrian Mannarino and Hubert Hurkacz top the bill in the Delray Beach Open.

Berrettini is edging outright market leadership in Antalya, but second-favourite De Minaur offers more betting appeal.

The Australian, quite capable of reaching finals, has not always done his talents justice in title matches but for a player with such high expectations, that could change this year.

Miomir Kecmanovic, seeded seventh, could go well and can be considered by each-way punters.

The Serb has a fine physique and looks the type to prosper on fast courts as well as clay. But with second seed Goffin not always the most reliable of performers these days, De Minaur looks the pick in terms of potential.

In Delray Beach, second seed Isner is again likely to be a major runner.

But the big-serving giant is approaching veteran status these days and it could pay to take a chance on a youngster who made a name for himself in his first tournaments of note last year, Sebastian Korda.

Petr Korda's son took a set off Denis Shapovalov in the US Open in late August, then made the last 16 of the French Open in September and October.

That was a terrific effort and big things are expected of powerfully-built 20-year-old Korda, who is based in Florida.
