Match previews

One player many punters were expecting to excel in the early stages of this year's Twenty20 World Cup was Shakib Al Hasan and the Bangladesh all-rounder did not disappoint against Oman last time out.

In the 26-run victory for Bangladesh, Al Hasan fired 42 runs off 29 deliveries before taking 3-28 with the ball, earning him the player of the match accolade.

And Bangladesh's next opponents Papua New Guinea look even weaker than Oman so punters should expect another strong showing from the number four batsman, who has registered 258 runs and taken 18 wickets in the format in 2021.

Yet again he could be a value bet in the player of the match market at 9-2 with bet365.

While Al Hasan's performances probably come as no surprise, Scotland have been exceeding expectations and are only one win away from securing a Super 12 berth at the World Cup.

Their big win over Bangladesh was followed by a 17-run defeat of Papua New Guinea, meaning they have won four T20s on the spin, and they can get the better of Oman, who are playing in their own backyard.
