Stone could rock Notts in Blast final
Classy Birmingham bowler poses pacy threat
Birmingham Bears v Nottinghamshire
Sky Sports Cricket, 6.45pm
Batsmen often hog the headlines in Twenty20 cricket but Birmingham Bears' brilliant fielding display earned them a victory over Glamorgan in the first T20 Blast semi-final.
And Nottinghamshire, their opponents in the final at Edgbaston, were grateful to their bowlers for putting the brakes on Hampshire in the second semi.
Steven Mullaney took 3-22 and Harry Gurney 3-19 as Hampshire stumbled from 97-2 to 146 all out, leaving Notts one victory away from completing a domestic double.
The One-Day Cup champions are 4-6 to win the Blast final with Birmingham 6-5 to frank the form of their North Group win over Notts at Edgbaston in July.
Young fast bowler Olly Stone caught the eye in Birmingham's semi-final win, claiming 3-29 in a pacy and disciplined display of bowling, and he looks worth a bet to be the Bears' top wicket-taker.
Glamorgan's Jacques Rudolph has the highest score of the day with 65 and given Birmingham and Nottinghamshire's dynamic efforts in the field it may be best to go under bet365's line of 68.5 about the top score in the final.
