St Mirren are capable of making their mark in cup clash

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes
1 of 1

William Hill Scottish Cup
BBC1 Scotland, 12.15pm Saturday

In-form St Mirren will fancy their William Hill Scottish Cup chances at Aberdeen, who have been in resting for a fortnight, so expect the Buddies to at least find the net at Pittodrie.

Jack Ross's Saints are going well in the Ladbrokes Championship and are eight points clear of Dundee United.

They will be hoping Aberdeen's two-week winter layoff works in their favour and they have the firepower to make this a nervy afternoon for Derek McInnes and the Dons, who are trying to smash a 28-year-old Cup hoodoo.

Perhaps Aberdeen's superior squad should overcome the Paisley side, but Saints should at least give those who have travelled north from Renfrewshire something to cheer.

Recommendation
St Mirren to score
2pts 10-11 Hills
