It's odds-on that the United Kingdom is still part of the EU by the end of 2019 after prime minister Theresa May put in a written request to extend Brexit until June 30.

Hills offer 8-11 that Brexit has not been completed by the start of 2020 and it's evens to have been resolved, while May's application for an extension is expected to be given the green light.

Punters can back the UK to still be a member of the EU on July 1 at 2-5 with Hills - the other side of the market is available at 7-4. Leaving the EU with no deal is 9-2 with Paddy Power and Betfair.

The UK had been due to leave on April 12 but no withdrawal deal has been agreed by MPs and the odds suggest an agreement won't be in place by the time of the European Parliamentary elections on May 23.

A second EU referendum has been nibbled at with bet365 cutting their odds from 2-1 to 7-4, although Betway are still offering 2-1.

May is 9-4 with Hills to have left or at least announced a date to exit as PM by April 12. Boris Johnson tops the market to become the next prime minister at 5-1, while Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is 11-2.
