Zhou Yuelong can zoom past compatriot Lyu Haotian

Zhou Yuelong should have enough to defeat his fellow Chinese Lyu Haotian in the second round of the Scottish Open in Glasgow.

Lyu showed his quality when ousting Marco Fu to reach the last 16 at the Crucible in April, but Zhou is without doubt one of the most talented Far Eastern players and he should have enough to boss this clash.

Zhou opened up with a break of 138 in his 4-3 first-round edging of high-quality operator Barry Hawkins. Lyu was not stretched in the course of seeing off novice Fan Zhengyi but that form may be inferior to Zhou's.

James Cahill is making the most of the few opportunities that are coming his way now he's off the main tour and the Blackpool cueman could have enough to dismiss Zhang Yong.

There's still a bright future for Cahill – when he finally seals a return to the main tour.

Zhang piled more woe on Anthony McGill when defeating the Scot 4-2 in round one, but Cahill's 4-2 victory over Thor Chuan Leong may prove to be better form.
