Zhou Yuelong should have too much for compatriot Yu Delu in the second round of the Scottish Open.

Zhou, who is rated one of the top young Chinese players, opened in Glasgow with a 4-1 win over Ian Preece, a win highlighted by runs of 82, 60 and 72.

Yu managed a highest break of just 38 in his 4-2 first-round victory over Lee Walker. His standard could rise in his next outing, but Walker afforded Yu plenty of scoring opportunities and Zhou is likely to score more heavily on the occasions that he gets to the table.

An interest on Zhou, the higher-ranked of the Chinese duo, to progress to round three is difficult to overlook, and it may also be worth considering backing him to compile the highest break.

Mitchell Mann, who edged out Hossein Vafaei 4-3, could see support to successfully give up a start of 1.5 frames to Chris Totten.

Ronnie O'Sullivan, crowned UK champion on Sunday, nailed a break of 136 in a 4-1 victory over Michael Georgiou on the same day that Cao Yupeng notched his first 147 maximum break in a 4-0 win over Andrew Higginson.

Recommendation
Zhou Yuelong
