Second semi-final
ITV4, 7pm Saturday

There's a thriller in store in the second Champion of Champions semi-final with red-hot duo Mark Allen and Kyren Wilson clashing for a place in the title decider.

Allen and Wilson contested the Masters final in January when the Northern Ireland ace stayed solid under pressure to triumph.

As would be expected, the Alexandra Palace hero is edging favouritism in Coventry. But while Allen, who was also crowned International Championship king in China last Sunday, is playing some of the best snooker of his career, he's no certainty to extend his winning run if Wilson goes into the auditiorium in positive vein.

Wilson performed creditably in the Masters final, his biggest match to date, but he was not at his peak in north London.

However, rather than get with the outsider, it may be wiser given Allen’s fine form to expect a tight evening clash at the Ricoh Arena.

Either player winning 6-3 or better would be pretty conclusive considering each other's form, so going over 9.5 frames is the call.

Recommendation
Over 9.5 frames
1pt 6-5 Hills
