Neil Robertson's run of tons could continue in final

Neil Robertson holds the aces in his Scottish Open final clash with Cao Yupeng, but the Chinese player is such a natural talent that punters should factor into their betting the chance of an upset.

It's best of 17 frames in the Glasgow decider, with eight frames to be played in the afternoon and a possible nine more in the evening.

Robertson was a 16-1 chance before the tournament started while Cao was a whopping 250-1 with each-way oddsmakers. The Australian ace, who was crowned world champion in 2010, is 1-4 to lift the Stephen Hendry Trophy with Cao, a 6-4 victor against Judd Trump in the semi-finals, 15-4 to continue his run of upsets.

Bet365 go 6-5 that three or more century breaks are made and it's 8-13 that two or fewer three-figure runs are compiled. Robertson is 8-11 to make two or more tons with Cao a 6-4 chance to make at least one.

Robbo had breaks of 117 and 135 in the course of blitzing John Higgins in his homeland and establishing a 4-0 semi-final lead – he defeated the Wishaw ace 6-3 – and backing the favourite to add at least two further tons to his tournament tally of ten could be the best way of punting on the final.

Cao, who made his first 147 maximum break in the first round of the Home Nations series event, is 3-1 to make the highest single compilation in his first main-tour final of note. But that mega-run has been Cao's only ton in Glasgow and Robertson is such a prolific scorer at his peak that such odds offer little appeal.
