Day three
Eurosport 1, midday & 6pm Wednesday

Aditya Mehta should have too much for Billy Joe Castle in their European Masters second-round clash in Belgium.

Castle did well to surprise Martin Gould 4-3 in his opener. The Pinner potter had breaks of 143 and 80 but unfortunately for Gould fans the Hampshire 25-year-old, who was crowned English amateur champion earlier this year, edged home.

Castle pinched victory with a gallant run of 69, but aside from that effort he failed to post a contribution above 39.

Mehta scored heavily in his 4-1 defeat of Michael Holt and could be a player to follow right now.

Breaks of 86, 53 and 129 helped Mehta do a job on the Hitman and considering Castle's win was a scrappy one, the smooth-cueing Indian could progress further in Belgium.

Recommendation
A Mehta -1.5 frames
1pt 19-20 Hills
