Three of the world’s top ten are set to do battle in Champion of Champions Group Four for a place in the semi-finals and Neil Robertson’s hopes will be high after his recent English Open triumph.

The Aussie ace is also chasing a hat-trick of wins in this big-money event, having clinched the silverware in 2015 and 2019, but faces a tricky best-of-seven opener against three-time world champion Mark Williams.

There appears to be little value in the match betting over this shorter format, but Kyren Wilson can be taken to make light work of his opening opponent Jordan Brown.

The Warrior was unfortunate to bump into a fired-up Robertson in the quarter-finals in Milton Keynes last week, but suggested he was in good nick with a slender 5-4 defeat which saw both players knock in two century breaks.

Since returning to the baize at the beginning of October, Wilson has lost only two of his 11 matches and is coming to the boil nicely as the busy Christmas schedule approaches.

Brown qualified for this event courtesy of last season’s surprise title triumph at the Welsh Open but he has to show that he can back that up and recent results are discouraging.

The Northern Irishman has suffered qualifying defeats to Ashley Carty (4-2), Gary Wilson (4-0) and Michael White (5-4) in recent outings and more is needed against a more complete opponent.

Punters can take Wilson to wrap this one up quickly and head into his evening clash with either Robertson or Williams in confident mood.
