Preview

It is taking a long time for Chinese players apart from multiple Betway UK Championship hero Ding Junhui to break through at the highest level and it’s probably about time another Eastern talent stepped up to the plate.

It may take a few years before Chen Zifan emulates Ding’s heroics, but the 25-year-old is doing a lot right in his career and he could pose problems for Anthony McGill after posting 6-5 wins over compatriots Yuan SiJun and Yan Bingtao.

World Championship semi-finalist McGill is playing okay but doesn't look to be at his absolute peak, so the Scot may be priced on the short side for victory. Chen is 8-13 with a handicap start of 3.5 frames and that could be worth having.

Li Hang is one of China's most experienced performers and he may not cow down against Neil Robertson like many overawed opponents do against the ace Australian.

Li, who has seen off Fraser Patrick and Zhao Xintong 6-3, is 4-6 with a start of 3.5 frames and the outsider could make Robbo pull out the stops.
