Ronnie O'Sullivan, who has been 5-2 market leader to win a sixth World Championship in recent days, is attracting support after drawing amateur James Cahill in the first round at the Crucible.

Second favourite Judd Trump, who has never lifted the world trophy, will open his title tilt against fast-potting Thai Thepchaiya Un-Nooh, while in-form third favourite Neil Robertson will meet Cyprus's Michael Georgiou in the last 32.

Defending champion and top seed Mark Williams starts out against Martin Gould while Mark Selby, who has not been at his best this season, faces talented youngster Zhao Xintong.
