Strictly Come Dancing
BBC1, 6.45pm Saturday

Bonfire night has been and gone, but it's Blackpool week on Strictly Come Dancing so expect plenty of fireworks. Eight couples remain and all will be on their A-game for this significant week of the competition.

Kate Silverton is the bookmakers' narrow favourite to be eliminated next, but having not yet featured in a dance-off, and with an American smooth that should suit her style perfectly, she could well reach Week Ten.

Graeme Swann, who won the dance-off last week at the expense of Danny John-Jules, looks most at risk, along with Lauren Steadman. However, while Paralympics gold medallist Steadman has the Argentine tango, which could suit her more measured style of dancing, the former England cricketer is the second celebrity this season to attempt theatre jazz.

While bringing plenty of character to an excellent Thriller-themed cha cha cha, it failed to win over the judges, and having finished in the bottom three with last week's outlandish salsa, he will need to step up in style to dance another day. That said, it's sure to be entertaining.
