Just ten weeks after ripping the WBA super middleweight title away from Callum Smith, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez is back in the ring this weekend to face mandatory challenger to his WBC belt - Avni Yildirim.
The quick turnaround catching Canelo out is the only hope that his Turkish opponent has as the gulf in class between the two fighters is enormous and one of the reasons why the Mexican has opted to reappear so quickly.
Yildirim lost out in a controversial technical decision to Anthony Dirrell two years ago and has not been sighted since.
He now steps into the ring with arguably the best fighter on the planet in a fight expected to be over inside the first four rounds.
A blockbuster unification clash with Brit Billy Joe Saunders in May is expected to be announced shortly after Canelo's arm is raised, and the undefeated middleweight may well be at ringside at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
