Amanda Anisimova could continue her good work in the Silicon Valley Classic with a victory over Mihaela Buzarnescu.

The American has been roundly punted to deny the Romanian in the wake of victories in San Jose over Anna Blinkova in qualifying and Nanchang champ Qiang Wang in the first round proper.

Buzarnescu is a confirmed battler herself and may not be easy to defeat, but Anisimova looks a top-20 performer in the making and may shine again.

Punters can also consider backing Maria Sakkari to deny Timea Babos, first-round victor over Kristina Mladenovic. The Greek number one has been well supported and is best at 5-6 to progress to the quarter-finals.
