Wasps v Toulouse

BT Sport 2, 5.30pm Saturday

Victory over Champions Cup holders Leinster in round two served notice that former European giants Toulouse may have awoken and bookmakers make them the narrowest of outsiders against winless Wasps.

The English side have been leaking too many tries to be considered a safe bet at odds-on, and Toulouse are unusual among French teams in that they have a positive record away from home in pool matches, and have already picked up a victory at Bath.

Toulouse's pool wins have been by two points and a single point, so it's probably worth boosting their win odds by going for another narrow success.

Recommendation
Toulouse to win by one to 12 points

Bath v Leinster

BT Sport 2, 3.15pm Saturday

Reigning champions Leinster gave up eight points on their trip to Toulouse in round two, when they were beaten by a point, and give up 14 as they head to Bath determined to bounce back from that defeat.

The Irish side look primed for a strong attacking performance and if the rain stays away we could see plenty of wingers Jordan Larmour and James Lowe.

A second-string Leinster side ran in nine tries against the Dragons last weekend and in-form Lowe looks the man most likely to make his mark.

Recommendation
J Lowe to score two tries or more

Toulon v Montpellier

BT Sport 3, 3.15pm Saturday

Montpellier are another side who need to bounce back after a narrow defeat at Newcastle in round two and they should have a good chance in this clash of two star-studded sides in Toulon.

Three-time trophy winners Toulon have steadied the ship since defeats in the first two rounds, but although they've won two of their last three matches, both came at home and against the Top 14's bottom two sides.

Recommendation
Montpellier
2pts 10-11 general

Exeter v Gloucester

Channel 4 & BT Sport 2, 1pm Saturday

Exeter lost their unbeaten Premiership record when they chose to rest their returning internationals for last weekend's trip to Harlequins, but they could feel the benefit in this all-Premiership clash.

The Cherry & Whites were held tryless when they visited Exeter in the league in November, going down 23-6 to a Chiefs side missing their big guns.

Gloucester are outperforming expectations in the Premiership but a 36-22 defeat at Munster in round two in Europe underlines that there's still a gap between them and the top teams.

Recommendation
Exeter -11
2pts 9-10 Betfred

Lyon v Glasgow

BT Sport 3, 1pm Saturday

Lyon's debut season at Europe's top table has failed to produce a single point and they may struggle to match Glasgow's attacking determination.

Warriors coach David Rennie rested his big guns for last week's success over Scarlets but the devastating back three of Stuart Hogg, Tommy Seymour and DTH van der Merwe line up for this encounter.

Glasgow have averaged more than four tries a match in the Pro14 and although Lyon have named a strong team, they may well lack the motivation to keep pace with opponents who will look to put width on the game.

Recommendation
Glasgow
3pts 5-4 Betfair
