If you want to be the Premiership's top tryscorer, don't get picked by England. That's been the maxim over the years and that could interest backers of Denny Solomona and Manu Tuilagi.

Both men were sent home from an England training camp after a late-night drinking session and it remains to be seen what that will mean for their international futures.

Tuilagi has not featured for the national team since 2014 after a host of injuries, while Solomona, who burst on to the tryscoring scene for Sale last year, made a scoring debut in the tour of Argentina last summer.

Firms have been slow to price up the top scorer market, presumably waiting to see starting line-ups for the weekend matches. Tuilagi's Leicester teammates have been backing him to come good this year, but it's unlikely England coach Eddie Jones will have given up on him as he is known to favour a heftier backline.

Solomona bagged 11 tries in 15 games for Sale last year and given a longer run for his club he should thrive, but single-figure prices are short enough.

For a speculative each-way wager, try Newcastle winger Vereniki Goneva, a proven finisher who may benefit from the arrival of fly-half Toby Flood, a former teammate at Leicester.

Fijian Goneva scored nine in 19 matches and with an experienced playmaker pulling the shots on the artificial surface at Kingston Park, another productive season could be in the offing.
