The Chiefs suffered their second defeat of the season against the flawless Crusaders last week but they should have too much for the Blues and can edge their Kiwi rivals in Auckland.

Fly-half Aaron Cruden had an off-day with the boot in their 31-24 defeat to the table-topping 'Saders but the Chiefs have seen off New Zealand rivals the Highlanders 24-15 on the road and were also 16-7 winners at the Force.

The Blues fought hard in home defeats to fellow Kiwi sides, going down by four points against the Highlanders and by the same margin to the Hurricanes, while forecast rain is likely to limit scoring.

Recommendation
Chiefs to win by one to 12 points
