Match preview

Australia are on a high after back-to-back wins over world champions South Africa but it's been a different story for Argentina.

It's not just their tally of four successive defeats bringing down the Pumas but it's the manner in which they've been beaten, scoring just two tries and on the wrong end of a high penalty count.

This fixture ought to give something of a respite after back-to-back clashes against South Africa and New Zealand, but it's hard to see what more the Pumas can do bar a major review when they get home.

Wallabies coach Dave Rennie does not seem to want to do anything differently, having made just three changes to the team who beat the Boks last week, and the returning James O'Connor has to make do with a place on the bench.

The reluctance to rush the creative O'Connor straight into the starting line-up suggests Australia will not seek to re-create the high-tempo game they tried against the All Blacks, and a patient, composed performance is what Rennie is after.

Argentina have 12, 10, 0 and 13 points in their last four outings, and backing a low points total looks the best bet.
