Harlequins vs Exeter Chiefs Predictions
Harlequins' 38-19 win over Gloucester in their Big Summer Kick-Off at Twickenham ended a run of three straight Premiership defeats and Exeter might be the perfect opponents as the Quins get ready to wave farewell to a number of players.
The Chiefs were walloped 79-17 at Gloucester on April 27 but after a turbulent fortnight off the field, responded with a 42-14 win over a second-string Northampton side.
Director of Rugby Rob Baxter was back in charge after head coach Rob Hunter and backs boss Ali Hepher were suspended in the wake of the loss at Kingsholm and said the squad have "got to just grow up a little bit."
Exeter gave up on reaching the playoffs some time ago and they are even out of the running for a place in the top eight that qualifies for next season's Champions Cup.
Quins will want to finish with a flourish in their final home match before heading to Ashton Gate to take on Bristol on the last day on May 31.
They are English club game's kings of manufactured storylines and Danny Care's announcement that he will retire next summer, and not in 2026 as previously mooted, means they may have found fresh motivation. Leigh Halfpenny and Care will be among 18 players heading for the exit door in what will be a big summer of change at The Stoop.
Named on the bench, this will be Care's final competitive outing at The Stoop and he should see a decent number of minutes in a comprehensive victory.
