Match preview

It is sure to be a lively occasion at the Stoop as Saracens return to domestic action for the first time since their automatic relegation for salary-cap breaches was announced.

This London derby against Harlequins is one of the fiercest rivalries in the Premiership and the salary-cap saga has added even more spice to the fixture.

Harlequins go into the game having been thrashed away at Sale in their last Premiership outing but Quins fans will be encouraged by their performances in their final two Champions Cup group games.

Despite being out of the competition, Quins won away at Bath and pushed pool winners Clermont in a 26-19 home defeat.

Saracens secured their place in the Champions Cup quarter-finals with a 27-24 victory over Racing 92 last weekend despite having Will Skelton sent off shortly before half-time.

Skelton is banned for this game and he is one of a number of notable absentees for Saracens. They have seven players away with England while Welsh international Liam Williams is also unavailable.

Harlequins have often had to deal with a depleted squad during the Six Nations but Eddie Jones has not selected any of their squad this time and they are not far off their full-strength side.

With a passionate home crowd behind them, Quins will be confident of continuing their strong recent record in this fixture.

Saracens have been beaten in their four of their last five Premiership visits to the Stoop and their miserable week could continue.
