Leicester Tigers boasted the best defence in the Premiership as they marched to the title last season, but after heavy back-to-back defeats in which they shipped 11 tries they need to find all their defensive steel at free-scoring Harlequins on Sunday.

Two wins from five is not the start the reigning champions would have wanted, and although their defeats have come against the top three sides Sale, Saracens and Exeter, Quins would put themselves in that bracket too.

Harlequins have a similar record having won two and lost two, with their defeats also coming against Sarries and Exeter who both had to stage fightbacks to steal the narrowest of wins.

The Tigers are sure to knuckle down hard in defence but their tactic of kicking out of their own half may not be the safest against a dangerous Quins backline.

Harlequins have not tended to win big - six of their last seven victories have been by a single-figure margin - but a two-point handicap is within reach.
