Match preview

Both teams have gone off the boil as they go into this West Country derby but visitors Gloucester may just have more stomach for the fight.

Hosts Bristol have one win in their last seven Premiership outings while Gloucester have one in five, although that run includes defeats at top-four sides Leicester and Exeter while they also went down by two points at Sale having gone off as 11-point underdogs.

But the Cherry & Whites are through to the quarter-finals of the European Challenge Cup after back-to-back victories over Dragons and Northampton in the last fortnight while Bristol went out of the Champions Cup when losing at home to 14-man Sale last week.

Motivation and morale are key factors late in the season and Gloucester are eyeing a top-six finish as they sit one point behind Sale with two games in hand.

Skipper Steve Luatua returns for Bristol but Kyle Sinckler, Dave Attwood, Nathan Hughes, Charles Piutau and Semi Radradra are among a lengthy list of absentees.
