Blues v Reds
Sky Sports 1, 8.35am Friday

The Blues are 13-point favourites to complete the set of wins over Australian outfits in this inaugural Super Rugby game in Samoa but the value bet may be a success of between one and 12 points at 9-4.

Conditions in Apia are forecast to be hot and humid so for all the desire of both teams to play exciting, running rugby and minimal playoff-picture pressure, scoring tries could be difficult.

New Zealand won a July 2015 Test in Samoa 25-16 with only a try apiece registered.

All Blacks Sonny Bill Williams, Charlie Faumuina and George Moala are among the Blues’ injuries after a tough month and while the Reds lost 40-26 in Brisbane to the Force last Friday, George Smith, Hendrik Tui and Scott Higginbotham should make it a battle at the breakdown.

Recommendation
Blues to win by one to 12 points
1pt 9-4 Betfair
