New Zealand's last-gasp win over Australia leaves South Africa knowing they probably need two big wins over Argentina to be able to have a shot at the title, and they can take the first step in Buenos Aires on Saturday.

Los Pumas were brought swiftly down to earth after their historic victory in New Zealand when they were routed 53-3 by the All Blacks in the following round.

And they face another challenging clash back on home soil against a Springbok side who showed great focus and determination in their 24-8 win over Australia two weeks ago.

It has been an inconsistent summer for the Pumas and they will need to be at their best to unlock a well-drilled and tactically rigid South Africa outfit.

Six of South Africa's last ten victories over the Pumas, including both of last year's meetings, have been by a margin of 11 to 20 points and that looks a value wager.
